The Youth World Games isn’t all about scoreboards and medals. It’s a chance for thousands of young people across the world to explore new places and cultures, share unforgettable experiences and form lasting friendships. In striving to achieve sporting excellence, all competitors help foster and strengthen core values of friendship and fair play. It’s what’s called the Spirit of the Games and it will come alive every year when the Youth World Games take place.

The inaugural Youth World Games edition in 2024 will take place in Portugal, a country famous for its favorable conditions for sports tourism and events, with magnificent sports facilities, hotel infra structures, natural beauty, general safety and easy access from most International airports.

OPEN CEREMONY
The opening ceremony for all team members, officials, referees, sponsors and organization members will be at 20:00 on Friday 31 March and attendance is mandatory. The opening ceremony is a chance to see all the different sports disciplines and countries together that are participating in the Youth World Games!
